How to become a teaching volunteer at Andiappan Yoga Community
If you have graduated from International Yoga Academy (https://www.iya-asia.com) accredited teacher training program with 200 hours or more certification and have been issued a certificate, you are eligible to become a volunteer yoga teacher at Andiappan Yoga Community (AYC). Upon completion of the course, you will receive an invitation e-mail with the login details to join our community as a teaching volunteer. If you have not yet received an email invitation to join our community, please send an e-mail to info@yogacommunity.org
Where do I apply to teach as a teacher volunteer?
Please visit our project page https://www.yogacommunity.org/our-projects/ to see the list of ongoing yoga projects that require teaching volunteers.
All projects that are currently active are displayed in green colored text in the menu and the “volunteers required” button is shown in each project if that project requires teaching volunteers.
Can I contact someone directly to teach in the project?
Currently, project applications are only accepted through online application through yogacommunity.org website. Upon approval, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from the project leader and details about how to join the project.
Can you explain the steps on how the project sign up works?
Step 1: You will receive the welcome e-mail to join AYC as a volunteer. If you have not received this, please send an e-mail to admin@yogacommunity.org
Step 2: Login to the AYC website and create a profile and update your contact details.
Step 3: In the ongoing projects section, apply for the project open for application and wait for admin approval.
Step 4: Upon admin approval, you will be contacted by the project leader by email and you will be added in the WhatsApp group created exclusively for that project.
Step 5: You can communicate in the WhatsApp group to join the classes and begin teaching.
Step 6: Regularly update your profile as per your current teaching arrangement, such as currently teaching in the project, previously taught in the project which will be listed under your volunteer profile.
