Recognizing its universal appeal, on 11 December 2014, the United Nations proclaimed 21 June as the International Day of Yoga.
The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness in Hong Kong and worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga.
With this effort, the Andiappan Yoga Community aim to raise money to support its various projects in providing free yoga classes to different groups within Hong Kong – the elderly, breast cancer survivors, overseas domestic workers, the homeless, university students, and low-income families/housewives, among others.

Kirtan is the art of group chanting in the musical tradition of India. The lyrics are usually in Sanskrit or Hindi. A beautiful voice is not essential to Kirtan but more about singing from the heart. Simply listening attentively to the music may uplift, inspire and even heal the listener to some degree.

If you wish to attend the Kirtan at Anahata Yoga on 21st June 2020 at 5.15 pm – 6.30 pm please register through this page and bring the registration confirmation email when you visit the studio. As the space is limited no walkin registration is allowed.
If you wish to attend the Kirtan online we will telecast the Kirtan live through Andiappan Yoga Community’s facebook.

Important note: COVID-19 Safety Measures
If you wish to come to the studio to attend the Kirtan Live Session please make sure you wear a mask throughout the class and maintain proper hygiene to ensure everyone’s safety. We will also provide the sanitizers for everyone’s use.
You are also welcome to bring your own personal sanitizers or disinfectants although we do regular thorough cleaning of our studio.
Please donot move the mats or the partitioning boards that we place. Please note you are required to checkin at the reception and complete the health declaration form before entering our studio during your visit.
If you are not feeling well please do not come to the event, instead attend the event online through Facebook Live.
