The Andiappan Yoga Community (AYC) and Anahata Yoga, Hong Kong invites you to celebrate the third International Day of Yoga with various themed yoga classes. This event aims to promote the benefits of yoga to the Hong Kong community and to raise funds to support the various projects of AYC. AYC is a non-profit, fully volunteer organization of International Yoga Academy-certified yoga instructors. AYC volunteers are committed to sharing yoga with those who may not be able to afford classes, particularly those who have special requirements or circumstances, such as breast cancer survivors, single mothers, overseas domestic workers, etc. In addition, to support our growing community, in particular the foreign workers, we would like to Auction 2 Yoga Classes that would be taught by our professional Yoga Masters. **Minimum donation is HK$300 per class, per person
  • Yoga for Women - Led by Tanny Tang & Miyoko Kasashima 3:00 PM (minimum donation, HK$200)
  • Partner Yoga - Led by Edith Chan & Yoko Kikuchi 4:00 PM**
  • Shiva Yoga Meditation - Led by Master Yogananth 5:30PM**

  • Kid’s Yoga Birthday Party – 60 mins (Starting bid is HKD3,000) This fun-filled class for kids is specially designed to encourage them to practice yoga in a playful and safe environment. Yoga helps children ‘s attention span and improves their focus. (max 15 Kids'
  • Private Workshop with Dr. Yogananth Andiappan – 90 mins (Starting bid is HKD 10,000)This workshop will be tailor-made for your preference. There are three options that include: - Pranayama and Meditation or/Back Care Yoga or/Advance Series (max. 10 participants)

Dr.Yogananth Andiappan

Yogananth Andiappan, was born to India's famous Yoga Guru, Dr. Asana Andiappan. He started learning Yoga from his Father and Guru at the age of two. By the age of thirty, Yogananth is well qualified in the field of Yoga having completed two diplomas (Yoga and Naturopathy, Yogic Science and Education), a Bachelor and Master of Science in Yoga and Naturopathy from Manonmanian Sundaranar University in Chennai, India. He has completed his Ph.D thesis on the effect of yoga therapy and natural yogic diet on cancer patients with the Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University in India. He not only has won many State, National and International Titles in Yoga Championships but has also given workshops, demonstrations and conducts Teacher Training across different countries including Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Singapore, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia and France. He is also appointed as the 'Honorary Professor' at Zhangzhou University in China. His contribution in the field of yoga from the very young age was appreciated by two presidents of India. Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and Smt.Pratibha Devisingh Patil. Yogananth specializes in Thirumoolar's Ashtanga Yoga and Hatha Yoga. His passion and mission in life is to spread the benefits of Yoga to all those who are interested and open to its philosophy. In addition, he wishes to continue his research on the countless Asanas and its benefit. Yogananth published a high quality coffee table yoga book called 'Yoga from the Heart', and recently launched a DVD titled 'Thirumoolar's Ashtanga Yoga' which is a DVD for home practice. He is the Founder and Director of Anahata Yoga. a professional Yoga Centre in Hong Kong.
