Teaching yoga brightens my day. I teach because I have personally experienced the benefits of yoga and I want to share these benefit with the world. My greatest ambition is to still teach yoga when I’m over 100 years old!” — Andiappan Yoga Community Volunteer Project Leader Nancy Wang
Nancy Wang is a media professional in her daytime job. She holds a Master degree in media studies from London, covered the Beijing Olympics for the BBC, and currently works for another multinational media company for the past six years. Nancy first practiced yoga in 2009 in a fitness gym and found it an extremely calming reprieve from her high-stressed job. From London to Paris to Cannes, Nancy practices yoga on the go while away on business travels with her full time job.
After five years of regular practice, Nancy enrolled in a yoga teacher training program taught by Yoga Master Yogananth Andiappan. She received her certification from International Yoga Academy’s Anahata Yoga in March 2014. Since then she has been teaching various yoga programmes, including weekly lunch classes at Euroclear Bank, and weekend courses for the domestic helpers at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Stanley, and Central Pier. Nancy’s main yoga teaching style is Hatha.
