Louise is an advanced Hatha Yoga teacher, having 600 hours of training from the International Yoga Academy (IYA), with Master Yogananth Andiappan as her main teacher. A teacher under Yoga Alliance and IYA, Louise is also the Volunteer Coordinator for the Andiappan Yoga Community (AYC) and project leader of the AYC’s yoga program for overseas workers, organizing and teaching free yoga classes to more than 150 domestic helpers every Saturday and Sunday with a strong team of fellow volunteer teachers.
Louise is constantly amazed at how the human body works especially during a yoga practice, and based on her own experiences, she believes that yoga is for every body, regardless of age, body type, gender, and personal background. Greatly influenced by the teachings of Guruji BKS Iyengar and the Mahabharata, Louise believes that her dharma or life purpose is to promote self-love, share her knowledge and influence more people to practice yoga and enjoy its benefits.
Aside from Hatha Yoga, Louise also teaches pre-natal yoga, restorative classes such as relaxation and de-stress, and other practices like Hatha Flow and power yoga.
Louise is a regular contributor of yoga articles to the Asana International Yoga Journal, breaking down asanas/poses into an accessible step-by-step tutorial.
Currently, Louise teaches at Anahata Yoga in Central, Hong Kong.
