About this Project:

Established in 1982, the Vocational Training Council (VTC) is the largest vocational and professional education and training provider in Hong Kong. VTC provides valuable credentials for some 250 000 students each year through a full range of pre-employment and in-service programmes with internationally recognized qualifications.

Andiappan Yoga Community is pleased to partner with VTC in providing free yoga classes to VTC students. With the increasing demands of student life, the regular practice of yoga can lead students into well-being and allow them to cope with the day-to-day life of being a student. Dr. Yogananth Andiappan along with AYC Volunteers M/s Louise, M/s Tanny, M/s Shilpa and Master Mahesh gave a lecture demonstration to the VTC students on 3rd October 2017 explaining the benefits of yoga and officially starting the project.
An energizing sequence of yoga poses combined with invigorating breathing techniques will be taught in the class.

How does yoga promote Healthy Growth?

Through yoga, we can instill in youth a positive sense of self and build a foundation for physical and mental well-being. Classes in this project is designed to provide the youth with fun and interactive yoga experiences to enjoy from a young age, and to support their journey.
